Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is a farmer-owned cooperative. It engages in
procurement, processing, marketing and transportation of grains and
grain products. The company’s main activities include processing of
soybean and supply of refined vegetable oil and bio-fuels in the US. In
addition, the company owns corn processing plants which produce
denatured ethanol that is marketed to major petroleum companies.
Further, it markets soy methyl ester products which are used in a
variety of environmental friendly products like soy biodiesel and
solvents. The company has the capacity to process over 16,000 acres of
soybeans every day. AGP’s owners are 185 local cooperatives and five
regional cooperatives representing 250,000 farmers from 15 states
throughout the US and Canada. AGP operates nine soybean processing
plants in Iowa, Dawson, Minnesota, St. Joseph, Missouri and Hastings,
Nebraska. AGP is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, the US.
